Upgrades

All upgrades are handled by RPM and thus requires little effort from the user in order to move from one version of the console to another.

• Simply run the following:

      yum upgrade simp-release-enterprise
      yum upgrade simp-console
  

Versions prior to 1.6.0 did not require the simp-release-enterprise package to be installed. If you installed a previous version of the Console directly from RPM, you will need to run the following prior to upgrading the Console to 1.6.0 or later.

      yum install https://download.simp-project.com/simp-release-enterprise.rpm

Note: Prior to upgrade you may want to backup your current console install. There are certain folders that it would be best to backup to ensure no data is lost if you choose to downgrade for any reason.

• Directories to backup:

      /etc/simp/ - Stores configuration
      /var/db/simp/ - Default database/dump location
      /opt/simp/console - Main console install location
